Machine Washable
This is one of the first pieces I made without intentions or plans of any sort. I ended up rooting through a bag of old sewing materials and stuck some buttons, tags and a little note on here. The note was written by my Great Grandmother, I like the fact of having her writing on it. (Early 2009)
No Name
I did this piece in 2010. It's a mixture of acrylic and oil paints, and it also has thread spun around it in certain places.
Peel
This is a smaller work of mine. Usually I prefer to do layer upon layer of different colors and textures, but this specific painting is more simplistic than the others.

Away From Home
I don't have a title for this piece... It was done while I was away at school so I didn't have my usual set up and materials, but I was itching to do some painting so I made do.

Mottled
This particular painting is my favorite of the ones I've done. I don't know why - probably the textures of the different paints I used and the amount of color. Here's a different angle of it...
(Fall 2010)
Which Way is Best?
This is another work I completed in 2010, I can't decide which way I like it turned. What do you think? It's also more vibrant-looking in real life, I feel like these pictures make it look a little less dimensional. I can't remember what I titled this one, hence why I'm blogging my latest paintings as soon as they're completed!
Thimble
Not my usual style, but this started off as a painting months ago that just bothered me... I kept adding layers to it and it just wasn't coming out how I envisioned, so I just decided to "button-ize" it. All of the buttons were my Great Grandmother's and have just been sitting in a bag for many years, so I wanted to find a creative use for them somewhere. (Aug, 2011)
